Q: WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

A. It’s the #1 question I receive - and for good reason! Choosing outfits can be both time-consuming and stressful. I know, I’ve been there with my own family!

Pinterest has LOTS of great ideas (search: “fall family outfits”) and if you want feedback on the outfits you’re considering, take a picture of them all together and email it to me.

Q: WHERE WILL MY SESSION TAKE PLACE?

A: Location, location, location! If you have a specific spot in mind, I’m all ears. If not, I'm happy to recommend a few locations, depending on where you live and what look you are going for (e.g. forest, lake, flower field, urban setting). Many of my clients here in the foothills like to be photographed on their property, which is fun, too!

Q: WHAT TIME OF DAY IS BEST?

A: Generally, I like to shoot in the afternoon/evening, ONE hour before sunset because the lighting is beautiful! Sometimes, though, it makes more sense to take photos early in the morning. We can chat about what works best for you and your family.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

A: If it’s raining, we’ll reschedule your session. If it’s cloudy, then your session is on!

Q: HOW LONG WILL MY SESSION LAST?

A: Sessions generally last 45 minutes to one hour! Because high school seniors often need more time to change into a few outfits, senior sessions typically last for 1.5 hours.

Q: WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE?

A: We’ll go out of our way to pick the right date for you the first time around, but if something comes up, let us know 72 hours before your session and we can find a new time with 2 weeks for no additional cost. If it’s less than 72 hours before your session and you change your mind about timing, you can switch to a new time for an added $50. (Honestly? That hardly ever happens - most everyone treats their session like an airline flight and we enjoy it as planned!)

Q: DO YOU OFFER MINI SESSIONS?

A: Yes! Nearly every year, I offer SPRING minis and FALL minis. These sessions are VERY popular and fill up super FAST, so be sure to sign up for my newsletter (on my homepage, scroll down to the bottom) or follow me on Facebook to be the FIRST to learn of the dates/times!

Q: CAN WE BRING OUR DOG(S)?

A: The short answer is YES! Your dog is a part of your family, and if you'd like him or her to be photographed with you, we will do our best to make it happen! Please make sure to bring a leash + treats with you!

Q: WHEN WILL YOU DELIVER OUR IMAGES?

A: Generally, my turnaround time from your photo session to gallery delivery is two weeks.

Q: IS IT OKAY TO SHARE MY PHOTOS ON FACEBOOK OR INSTAGRAM?

A: Absolutely! One of the greatest compliments is when my clients share their photos with friends and family! Please do not apply any filters to your images and give credit to Jennie Harless Photography. 

Q: DO YOU TAKE PRESCHOOL OR HOMESCHOOL PICTURES?

A: Yes, I love to photograph children! I’ve photographed the preschoolers at Tutor Totter Preschool in Auburn, the students at the COOP in Loomis, and many homeschoolers. Contact me for more info on my school photography packages!
