In May, I took photos of this lovely girl in Colfax. At the time, she was just about to graduate from eighth grade.
I’ve known Payton since elementary school, and I can’t believe how grown up she looks in these images!
Payton is a hard worker and loves to play basketball and ride her horses. I’m so glad she thought to bring her cowboy hat!
Can we pause for just a moment and take in the beautiful Payton and the bokeh behind her? Lens nerd alert: My 85mm lens is THE best for bokeh! It’s definitely my go-to lens for eighth grade and senior portraits.
We had fun out in the country taking pictures as the sun set! It did get cold, though, so I lent Payton my jacket as we walked down to the barn area.

Summer has flown by and in a little over a week, Payton will be headed to Colfax High School! I’m so glad Payton’s mom thought to capture this special time in her life.
